THIXOTROPY

A property of some non-newtonian pseudoplastic fluids (like litho ink), to exhibit a higher viscosity at rest (resting viscosity), than under working conditions (working viscosity). Two inks of the same working viscosity may exhibit different resting viscosities; however, the emphasis is on working viscosity because that’s where printing takes place.
