TAILING

Tiny stringers of ink tailing-off the trailing edge of type or solids, caused by too heavy an ink film being applied. ALSO: Downward curling of the sheet at the delivery end of the press caused by the stress of pulling the sheet from the blanket when excessive tack or clinging is taking place.
