OPTIMIZING SOFTWARE (ink optimizing software)

A special kind of software RIP that reduces the amount of cyan, magenta, and yellow, needed to produce four color printing. Optimizing software uses black ink to create what is essentially a black & white image; with cyan, magenta, and yellow, added only to “colorize” the image. Ink optimizing software produces excellent visual results, good color balance, and typically saves 5 to 15% in overall ink costs.
