BLEEDING

A process where certain pigments such as Rhodamine or Triphenylmethane Toners like Alkali Blue or Methyl Violet may “spread” or “run” on contact with certain soaps, chemicals, or solvents. Aqueous and UV coatings can cause some ink colors to bleed or “burn-out”. Sometimes the color fades-out or disappears all together. See also “color burn-out”.
