DENSITY

(ink density) Refers to how strong the color is on the sheet. Sometimes density is assumed to be the film thickness of the ink on the paper, which is not always the case. Density readings will rise and fall with the ink film thickness of a given ink; however, an ink with more color strength will give a higher density reading than a weak ink at the same film thickness.
