BURNISHING

When a surface has been scuffed or rubbed, resulting in an objectionable blemish in an otherwise uniform finish. Sometimes burnishing can be prevented using specially formulated coatings or varnishes. Contact Graphic Ink for assistance. See also “scuffing”.
